Alex Galvez-Vega
I'm a Designer
About
Welcome to my website! My name is Alexandro Galvez-Vega. I love to develop and work on all kinds of projects. At the University of Central Florida, I learned how to make physical and digital games, complete with immersive and highly interactive stories. Over the past few years I've further honed my development skills by working on projects and studying software engineering. Currently, I usually work on projects with a lean toward machine learning and mixed reality. The primary coding languages I use right now are Python and C#.
Masters Student & Developer.
My work ethic leaves me very focused on projects presented to me. Leading two different capstone projects has also taught me to also be quite adaptable given the multiple types of different situations that can appear. Included below are a few tools I've used within the past five years.
Tools:
- Cybersecurity: Burp Suite, Kali
- Data Science: Altair AI Studio, Tableau
- Mixed Reality: Unity Engine, Meta Developer Hub
- Software: Visual Studio Code, Anaconda
- Cloud: Google Cloud, AWS
- Source Control: Git, Tortoise SVN
- Planning: Trello, Microsoft Teams
- Documentation: MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint
When I’m not debugging a project, my time is also spent as a graduate assistant split between teaching labs and research at Florida Atlantic University. I'm around a semester or two away from graduating with my Master's degree and certificates in Big Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, and Mobile App Development.
Skills
Over time, I've learned a variety of coding languages. Below includes a few I make applications or solve problems with regularly.
